Rome Tours Your Way’s mini-vacation package from Rome featuring the romantic city of Venice. Tour classic sites like St. Mark’s Square and stroll the canals and car-free streets exploring this must-see Italian destination.

Day 1 - Travel to Venice via Train, Overnight in Venice

You will receive personal assistance at train stations with both your departure in Rome and arrival in Venice. Your tour escort will pick you up at the Venice train station and take you to your hotel. Once in Venice, you will have a guided walking tour with a local expert guide.

Your Venice tour will include St. Mark's Square, the political and religious center of the Republic of Venice. You will see many of its historical and artistic treasures dating from antiquity: the Basilica with its precious mosaics; the Ducal Palace with its well-known Bridge of Sighs; the Procuratie palaces and the Napoleonic Wing; and the Clock Tower, the Campanile and the Marciana National Library. Your guide can provide personalized suggestions for your second day in Venice, which will be free for you to explore on your own.

Day 2 - Self-Exploration of Venice, Travel back to Rome via Train

Having seen the key sites yesterday, you're ready to explore Venice at your own pace today. If you have not been to Venice, we suggest you simply wander the different neighborhoods. You may also walk to the brilliant contemporary art collection housed in the Peggy Guggenheim museum, which will show you another side of Venice. The Guggenheim mansion, which faces the Grand Canal, has a lovely garden and cafe.  You may also choose to visit one of the other nearby islands, like Murano, famous for its glass blowing, or colorful Burano, which is famous for lacemaking.
Travel to Venice via train at the end of the day.
